The City of Chipley provides Natural Gas, Sanitation, Sewage, and Water service to the Chipley area.
New Utility Services Requirements:
- Social Security Card
- Photo Identification Card (State of Florida Driver’s License Preferred)
- City Utilities Application
- Owner Affidavit or Renter Affidavit
Payment Policy & Procedure
Bill Mailing Dates
Utility bills are mailed by the 1st day of the month. If you have not received your bill by the 5th day of the month please call the billing department at 850-638-6350.
Payment Due Date
The total amount of the monthly bill is due and payable on or before the close of business on the 15th day of the month. After this date a 10% penalty will be added. If the bill is not paid by the 20th day of the month, service may be disconnected on the 21st day.
Accepted Forms of Payment
Payments can be made at City Hall, mailed or by checking account auto-draft or made at the after-hours drop box located behind City Hall.
City Hall Office Hours are from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. An after-hours drop box is located behind City hall for your convenience. Please do not pay by cash when using the drop box.
If your services are disconnected for non-payment, a final reminder letter will be mailed to your address on file. The account will be closed if you do not respond to the reminder letter by the date indicated. If unpaid, the bad debt will be reported to the credit bureau if we have not received payment in full within sixty (60) days.
