Public Service Announcement

Due to the increase in new residents, contractors and visitors to our area, the Chipley Police Department would like to remind the public of a few important City Codes.

Residents/Landlords/Visitors/ Contractors/Business Owners-
• Please remove all trash, debris, junk, white goods and inoperable vehicles on and around the premises of your property.
• White goods – (freezers, washers, dryers and refrigerators) are NOT permissible to be left or stored outside. Those left curbside for pickup will not be picked up if it is not directly related to the Hurricane. Disposal contractors may determine not to remove it. If you have white goods that need to be disposed of, it is the responsibility of the owner to make arrangements to do so. Public Works will address special pick up requests. Call 850-638-6346 for scheduling and cost.
• Trash containers are to be placed curbside no more than a day prior to trash pickup and removed from the curbside once your trash has been picked up.
• Building Permits – Projects that require permits are: roofing, structural repairs, framing/insulation, new or water damaged electrical, mechanical or plumbing, additions and some remodels.
• Planning and Zoning Permits – Signs, driveways, additions, out buildings and fences.

It is unlawful to perform unlicensed work in the State of Florida.
